Badminton at
Limpsfield LTC |
At Limpsfield LTC we have two halls used for Badminton, one with
its own viewing room, the other designed as a multi-purpose
sports area. Our Badminton halls are well maintained (one of
which had new floor laid in 2008) and both provide well-lit
playing conditions.
Affilliated to Badminton England, Limpsfield LTC has Badminton members
of all ages. The club welcomes Badminton players of all abilities, as
well as the complete beginner and those returning to the game. The club
offers

Coaching
with a resident
coach
to help players of all abilities to improve! Match players at Limpsfield
LTC regularly attend
Club Badminton sessions,
and are encouraged to do so by our consistent standard of play. To help
ensure the standard of play, to attend some
sessions
during the week, you will need to be played in by our club Badminton
coach or session rep. This system also enables us to include
Badminton juniors of a suitable standard to participate in these
sessions.
And as a
Silver member
at Limpsfield LTC, not only can you play Badminton, but your membership
allows you to play
Table
Tennis too!
Club
Sessions
We have a number of
Badminton club sessions
during the week. Open to players of all abilities (although you do need
to be played in to attend some sessions) , they are a good opportunity
to meet up with other members and play Badminton with people of the same
or similar standard.
Teams,
Leagues & Tournaments
Limpsfield LTC enters ladies, men’s, mixed and junior
Badminton teams
into the Surrey, Sutton, Crawley, Edenbridge & East Grinstead, and East
Surrey Leagues. During the year Limpsfield LTC holds a club
Badminton
tournament
with entry categories for ladies, mens and mixed pairs.
Coaching
We have a resident badminton coach at the club who offers individual and
group
Badminton
Coaching
for members of all ages and abilities. The coach also runs a programme
of
Junior Badminton coaching
that runs for most of the year as well as running fun
Junior
badminton sessions
during school holidays. Keep an eye on the Badminton notice board for
details.
Badminton
Committee
Limpsfield LTC has a
Badminton Committee
made up of volunteer club members who meet regularly. The
committee
would be pleased to hear from any member interested in joining the
Committee, assisting with any of the Badminton activities at the Club,
or with any general ideas and comments.
