Dress Code and Rules

Table Tennis Footwear and Dress code

Players are required to wear dark shirts
and shorts with clean white socks.

Shoes must be non-marking and NOT trainers or black-soled
shoes.

Muddy shoes MUST NOT be worn on court.

Track suits may be worn but for warming up only, unless
extremely cold.

Members and guests are expected to adhere strictly to this.

Equipment

The size of the table tennis ball has increased to 40mm
-
All players are expected to have their own bat and spare ball
(can be purchased from the club shop)

As from September 2008 speed glues were banned
-
Each game is the best of 11 points
Court Etiquette

Please vacate your court at the end of your booked session

The use of mobile phones on and in the vicinity in the
sports hall is forbidden.

Chewing gum, sweets and food of any kind are not allowed in
the sports hall.
Visitor Policy & Fees
Non-members can play at the Club as a guest but they will have
to pay a visitor fee on each occasion, and as detailed in our
Visitor
Policy; after 5 visits we would expect them to become
a member of the club.
