Children of all ages can really benefit from playing badminton. Not only an outlet for their boundless energy, but also from the discipline of learning a sport and the social interaction of the game. At The Limpsfield Club juniors are very welcome and we teach badminton to juniors from around 8 right up to adulthood.
When standards allow, the club also enters junior teams in the Surrey county squash competitions. For more information, please speak with the club head coach Zeb Young on 07737 842542, . Please note: only club members can play in a club team.
Badminton Coaching is offered (subject to court time being available) to those players who are enthusiastic and dedicated during the Saturday sessions and who are willing to work to improve their game.
The club has an excellent record of coaching juniors to county level and higher and has a positive policy of encouraging juniors through into senior club and match play.
All our club coaches hold relevant coaching qualifications and have undergone a recent CRB check.
The club runs a programme of fun and instructional badminton camps during the school holidays. Please keep an eye on the website and Badminton notice board for dates.
Squash and racketball are energetic sports that require a reasonable level of fitness. If a player has any health or fitness problems, or any medical condition, please ensure the coach is informed at the first session. Naturally, every care is taken to ensure the safety and well-being of the players. However, as in any sport, injuries can occur and it is important that parents are aware of this.
